My name is Ann Carter Sasser (it’s a double name), and I am from Fairhope, Alabama. I have created this blog to express my love for cooking. I am currently a senior at the University of Alabama. I am active in my sorority there and various other organizations on campus. I love cooking, Alabama football, being with my wonderful friends, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.

The rest of my family is from the Black Belt of Alabama, as it is historically called. We are from a small town called Nanafalia, which is relatively close to larger towns such as Thomasville and Butler. I believe that having those deep Southern roots has shaped me and given me my love for cooking and pleasing others. There is something so great about the simplicity of life there.

I currently am employed at the University of Alabama System Office and have loved every second of that. I have worked there since the fall of my sophomore year, and am ever so thankful for their support and guidance. I plan to move to Birmingham, Alabama upon my graduation as I embark on this next chapter.
